When folks in my stitch n Bitch want to learn dbl points or knitting in the round I usually give them this project as a beginner project. I give them size 5 or 6 and some dk weight yarn. Tell them to cast on 36 stitches (12 stitches per needle) show them different joins and then do 5 rows of ribbing, 10 rows stockinette 5 rows ribbing and bind off. Voila! Go for it!
