Seaming Underarms

I have all but completed this sweater from Lionbrand...

It is knit in the round, from the bottom up. Then all you have to do is sew up the sleeves and the underarm holes. sounds simple, right? well, i can't seem to get the underarm holes done properly. Can i but them back onto needles & kitchner stitch them together?

Yep, you can do a kitchener graft or 3 needle BO.
