No more stretching please!
Why is it that all the hats I've knitted tend to stretch after little wear. I make sure to knit gauge and all but I've been getting a lot of complains about my hats stretching. Its the rib part that usually stretches and yes I make sure to knit 1 or 2 needles for the rib before I begin the pattern. What could I be doing wrong and would it help to knit the rib with elastic to avoid stretching.

It would help it if you knit it with elastic cording found with the elastics in JoAnn Fabrics or , any store that caters to people who sew. It helps to keep the ribbing from stretching out.
