How much does lace stretch?
I'm working on a leafy lace (stockinette knit) scarf. This will be the first time I actually soak, stretch and block a piece and I am not sure how much I can stretch it. I don't want to end up with a piece that is too long or too short. I read that garter can stretch up to 30% but this is stockinette.

The yarn is single ply DK, 50/50 silk and mohair.

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Well, that depends.

But, in general the mohair will stretch more than the silk.
Or, if you like, the silk will prevent the mohair form stretching as much.

Also whwat size needles didi you use? Larger, then more stretch.
