Does this mean I should inc. in row 1 & then again in row 14, 5 times? I'm starting out with 87 stitches and need to increase up to 99, so that would about do it. Working on body of the sweater.I appreciate the help!

You should increase in the next row (row 1) and then in rows15,29,43,57, and 71 at each end of the row. That'll be an increase of 12sts total from 87 to 99sts.
