FO: Sea Lettuce Scarf and Sea Urchin Hat
Finally, the snow has melted and I could take this picture.

The scarf is Sea Lettuce by Lucy Neatby.

And the beret is inspired by another common life form on Nova Scotia beaches -- the sea urchin, the small round thing on the rock. (The one on the picture doesn't have a hole in the middle but some do). I designed this hat and it was... a long process. Because of the very gradual colour change, it had to be done in separate sections to create a more dramatic effect. I had to cut all yarn by colour and piece it together. Both green and yellow colours change to brown on the bottom of the hat, with the yellow brim. My camera died and I couldn't take more pictures.

Also, I was adamant not to buy the third skein and finished with just a few yards left, which was exciting

The best part -- it looks good on me, in a very crooked and artistic kind of way. (But I don't have a picture so that nobody can ruin this illusion for me)

It's a wonderful, sea-inspired set, beautifully knit. I love the engineered color change which looks effortless but is the result of your careful planning and execution. Well done!
