Violet's Sun Hat and Mary Janes
My son and dil's best friends just adopted their first baby. Violet was born 12-31-2011 so there is excitement all around for this couple who have been trying to have children for years. So to celebrate, I made Violet a sun hat and her own little mary jane booties, in what else, violet!

Great job on these! I bet the parents take tons of pictures of Violet in her cute little outfit.

This is an adorable project! Are the colors purple/yellow? Purple/lime? Blue/yellow?

I love the colors! But I know that yellows, purples and blues are very hard to photograph accurately!

purple and lime. It is called lavender mist and soft clover if I remember right.

Way too cute! Is the hat your own pattern?

No, I don't do any kind of design. The hat and booties are from a Mary Maxim yarn website.

How lovely. It's pretty colour combination and very personal too. And the booties are just adorable! Great gift.

Congratulations to the new family! I know that Violet is well loved! You came through with flying colors with your gift. I expect they'll be well used and then treasured keepsakes. So sweet.
