Left front, shape armhole

Still learning knitting language, help! I don't understand from "foll 4 alt rows....to the end. Thank you for your help!

"Working all armhole decreases as set by Back, dec 1 st at armhole edge of next 3 rows, then on foll 4 alt rows and at same time dec 1 st at front slope edge of 3rd and 0 foll 4th row, then on 1 foll 6th rows. 27 sts.
Dec 1 st at front slope edge only on 2nd and 6 foll 6th rows. 20 sts."

Good grief, these directions would make my grandmother weep.

I'd do the armhole decreases on rows 1,2,3, 5,7,9, and 11. The front decreases are on (or close to) rows 3,9,13,19,25,31,37,43, and 49.
(I'm putting the directions "Dec 1 st at front slope edge only on 2nd and 6 foll 6th rows." after you've gotten to 27sts.)

Thank you! I made it to 27 sts. Now on to 20.

So do I work one row and then on the second row I decrease a st followed by decreasing one st for the next 6 rows?

So I cast off 7 sts and then do I cast off one st on alt rows 7 times, and then the remaining 6?

So after you get to 27sts, the decreases at the front slope would be: work one row and dec on the second row, as you say and then work 5 rows, decrease on the 6th, work 5 rows, decrease on the 6th etc. Continue with the pattern of work 5, dec on the 6th until you're down to 20sts.

For "Cast off 7 sts at beg of next row and foll alt row.
Work 1 row
Cast off remaining 6.", cast off 7sts, work to the end of the row, turn and work back, turn and cast off 7sts again and work to the end of the row. Turn and work to the end of the row, turn and bind off the last 6sts. Each bind off occurs at the beginning of the row on the same edge, probably the armhole edge.
