Double Cast On question
Help me please! I am a relatively new knitter. I am starting a project that calls for 80 "double cast on" stitches. Since they are double, do I only need to cast on 40? Help! I need to start this project today

Hi and welcome to KH!
Long tail cast on is also called double cast on. In that case, if the pattern says cast on 80stitches, then you'll need to cast on 80sts.
You might have a pattern for double knitting which makes a two-sided project. Can you link to the pattern or give us a pattern name?
