FO: Beadless Bettine Shrug
I've never made a shrug before and saw this one in Knitting in the Details by Louisa Harding (from the library). It is supposed to have beads all over it, very pretty, but didn't have any and wanted to knit...now. (You understand ). Very simple pattern. Just a rectangle and you sew the edges together to make sleeves.

That is so pretty. I've not done a shrug before, this makes me think I should. You do such beautiful work.

Is it for you?
No. I made it thinking of my oldest granddaughter. She is 19 and while not real short is quite petite. I made the smallest size and hope it won't be too big.

I love it, Judy! And I don't think the beads were entirely necessary with the lovely pattern stitch! Excellent work!

Thanks ArtLady. I agree. The pattern called for beads on each picot edge stitch and along the edges of the sleeves, 4 on each point and 1 in the middle of each of the pattern stitches. Very pretty, but with this cotton yarn I was going for more of a casual effect anyway.

Beautiful shrug!

I'm working on one that has a similar construction (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sagebrush).

I hope it turns out looking as good as yours did (but I have my doubts). Yours is perfection!
