FO: Footie, the cast sock
Some time ago my son had an awkward landing on one foot, and had to wear a cast for a week. Since it was freezing cold outside, I had to make him a cast sock. He called it Footie, because, clearly, it is an animate object. The cast is off long time ago but Footie is still around, mostly for transporting small animal toys in the car.

What a fabulous idea! That should make wearing a cast easier to bear. The life after the cast is great too. Thanks for sharing it with us.

How cute is that! That makes a cast almost fun!

That's a great solution to the cold toes problem, and how nice that Mr. Footie now has a second life as a toy tote. He's happy (because he's obviously animate, you know), kiddo's happy, and I'm sure you're happy that everybody's happy!

And he's so cute, too!

I love that idea though nowadays so many people wear those boots instead of the old casts. Very cute.

What an adorable project! When I broke my ankle and leg in January of 2012, I was in a walking boot for 4 months. Although Wisconsin isn't as cold as Nova Scotia, my toes sticking out would've been really cold, so I knitted myself a little footie thing, too. Very useful.

Oh that is so darn adorable, Olha! And innovative!

Seems like it would be a very nice charity project, too!
