Pattern help - chill chaser mittens
I am knitting mittens from the soft chunkee book. I have completed the ribbing and increased stitches to 25. The next row is easy, k2 p10 k13. The 2nd row is killing me. P13 k1 *p3tog (k1 p1 k1) all in next st. Rep from * once more. K1 p2.

This row does not make sense. I can't get it to work with 25 stitches. You can't purl three stitches together and not decrease stitches. The next row is the same as the first so you must still have 25 stitches.

I am losing my mind. Help!!!

Hello, Voteary and welcome to knitting help.

You're right, one cant p3tog without decreasing. However, the (k1 p1 k1) all in next stitch will counterbalance this and get your stitich count back to 25.

Hope that helps and good luck with your pattern.
