Pattern Reversal
Hi -

I am knitting a cardigan sweater - working on the Front. Directions are given for the Left -- and for the Right - it says to reverse what was done for the left.

The original first row: RS Yo and cont pat, work to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1

So for the Right Side: RS k1, k2tog, cont pat yo

Is this correct? If so - how do I do a yo at the end of a row-

Many thanks for your assistance -
Much appreciated

Gretchen

Sounds right to me. A YO is the same wherever it's done.

I am sorry but I do not understand how to do a yo at the end of a row. I know this is likely obvious but I am confused. Any thoughts would be so appreciated

Just bring the yarn forward and over the top of the needle to knit. The first stitch.

Yeah, the yo will be created when you work the first stitch of the next row by having the yarn in the front when you knit the first stitch.

You might try a ssk in place of the k2tog when you reverse the shaping so that the sts slant in different directions on each side.
