I'm going to try and make a blanket for a "boat bed" (v-berth). One end measures 2ft wide and goes up to 6ft. The length of the bed is 6ft. My question is about the increases. If I start with the 2ft end, will increasing 1 stitch on the ends till I get to 6ft in length give me the 6ft width? I've made corner to corner blankets before but never one like this! Thank you in advance!
Just asked my husband and he agreed the V berth is not usually 90%, but he pointed out that boats differ. A larger beamier (wider) boat might have a wider V. The bigger boats I've been on usually have separate berths and use that area for storage. Is this your boat?
Increasing less often would make it narrower. I think you're going to have to measure and do some math though.
When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.
