Help please
Can anyone tell me if worsted weight yarn is thicker than double knitting or another name for it please?

(I'm not sure if I'm dealing with language differences here.)

Thank you.

Worsted weight is a bit thicker than DK but it might be best to look at the ballband and check the sts per inch to be sure of the yarn. WW is about 16-20sts/inch and DK, approximately 21-24sts/inch.

Thank you very much for your help Salmonmac.

I saw someone making lovely toys on You Tube and the yarn she was using was worsted.

I guess if I used dk yarn instead the toy would just end up a little bit smaller.
