Bar Increase -- What is it?

I have been doing some research on increases for my raglan sweater since the pattern doesn't specify (just pick you fav the designer says). I have come across that some recommend a bar increase, but Amy doesn't have a video of it nor can I find instruction for it anywhere. How do I do it?

Amy definitely has videos for this!!! Well, she has videos for a knitside bar increase anyway. But once you see the video, you'll get the explanantion for the purlside.

On the purlside of your work, you would do "purl the front of a stitch, then purl the back of the same stitch" (see Amy's abbreviations page).
