worsted weight
I have a pattern that calls for lion brad wool ease, wich is a 4ply worsted weight. I have yarn that is a 2 ply worsted weight. Can I make it out of the 2ply as long as the gage is the same? Please someone help.

Absolutely. Worsted weight is worsted weight. The number of plys is just how many strands are twisted together to make it. If the gauge is right, then it will work.
