Help with K3 in center stitch

What do they mean by K3 in center stitch. Do I knit stitch to right needle than bring it back to the left needle and knit it again 3 times?

I wonder if this is a version of knitting into the front and back of a stitch to increase? Is it supposed to be an increase?

I really appreciate everyone's help and want to thank all of you, I am so glad I found this site.

I don't think this should be an increase stitch. It does not look anything like a heart. What am I doing wrong?

i just did a few rows and this heart is knit from the V at the top to the point at the bottom. the K3 in center stitch I've been doing a knit in front loop, knit in back loop and knit in front loop all in that center stitch. does this help at all?

just follow the pattern and it'll work out. I just did this one attatched.
