I'm making a baby blanket for my girlfriend at the moment, the link is in my sig. I'm working the current blanket in Lion Brand Microspun, which is super soft and machine washable, and I'm enjoying knitting with it. It's not the right gauge but since it's just a blanket and only my second project I'm not too worried about it.
I want to make the blanket again, for a different girlfriend, but I want to make it in blue. I found a beautiful varigated blue color in Paton's Canadiana, but I'm worried that it won't be soft enough (I haven't touched it yet).
I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for a soft, dk weight yarn in varigated blues. I'd like to avoid other colors if possible, and just have the blanket entirely in shades of blue.
TIA!

That's the plan, but there is only ONE lys on my regular route that sells the stuff, and it's only open from 10-530 on Monday, Tuesday, thursday, and Friday. Plus, if I touch it and don't like it, I want to have another direction to head in.
