Dyeing Wool?
DH and I were talking about dyeing wool, and he suggested you could maybe use coffee?! Has anyone tried that? Would it work?

It stains everything it touches (teeth, furniture, bathrobes  ) so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I like how you threw bathrobes in there... DH never wants me to knit him anything, but I think he might be more likely to want something if it's coffee dyed...
I think I might just give it a whirl!

He doesn't wear hat when it's cold? I made my DH one and he loves it. Some men just think it's not manly I guess. Maybe it's the colors so a coffee stained one might work.

Actually yes, he got the first hat I did on circ's and he loves it. But everyone gets a hat! I wanted to make him something grrrrrreat! But even if I do dye the wool with coffee...I still don't know what I'd make. He's not a sweater guy. Maybe a cute teddy bear or something like that.

I see. My DH isn't a sweater guy most of the time either. We've been on a few winter trips that he has worn sweaters so maybe someday I'll that. For now he just gets a hat.

A man who's "not a sweater guy" but might like a cute knitted teddy bear.

I suppose he wouldn't wear a sweater vest either.
Lots of cool "manly" yarns for that.
