The Summer Project for my Little Girl.

Ok, so here it is. Despite wanting to do something a little more exciting (and not endless rows of stockinette that make me want to throw myself off the top of my house at times), I was entranced by this pattern.

I plan to do the dress for my little girl, Miriam. She's been the beneficiary of most of my handknit items, including longies, socks and a hat, but here's something even fancier!

How do you all like Dale of Norway patterns? Clear? Tough? A suicide mission in the making? The instructions didn't seem so horrible, but you never know. I could just be wildly naive.

Any comments on the pattern? I plan to copy the colorways exactly.

It is soo beautiful!

I have to admit that I have ever knitted a Dalepattern, I prefer Sandnespratterns, so I cant tell you anything about the pattern. But I love the Daleyarn, soft, nice colours.. beautiful yarn to knit!

I am looking forward to see your progress!

(I prefer Sandnespatterns because the Sandnesmill is almost my LYS!)

I'm frightened off by other Norwegian patterns because it means translating!!

I'm sorry I can't help you with any information about Dale of Norway patterns. But I just wanted to say that is a beautiful pattern you've chosen. If you decide to do it, I hope you post your FO.

That's exactly the dress I posted on my blog a few months ago in my "to do" list for my granddaughter! I have bought the pattern, but not the yarn. I told my husband I needed to try out this smaller pattern before I attempted the Dale of Norway sweater he likes.

I haven't used Dale of Norway patterns yet, but those I talked to who have used them seemed satisfied with them.

That is gorgeous!!

I've used Dale of Norway patterns, and you wouldn't know that they had been translated. No problems at all. I love their yarns, too.

Oh, that is adorable! I wanted to make that same dress for my niece's daughter but I gave up because I thought it would be way too much work with that needle size and all.

I'm looking forward to see yours done and to hear from you on how hard or time consuming it was. Go for it, it is very very beautiful
