I got the nicest sideways compliment

I learned how to cable today, have a few turns to a nice reversible scarf
I told a friend of mine who knits some, but not a lot
she said (incredulously) awwh comeone, you Knew how to make Cables!!
I told her no, I never had
she told me she figured out how to do them herself a long time ago
and figured since i was one of the best knitters she knew
that I MUST know how to do not only cabels but all that fancy stuff
