Canadians
I just found this site that offers free shipping if you spend $35.00. I have not tried it yet, but plan on it.

That is my favouritest yarn store. The people are wonderful, the yarn is fantastic and they are awesome with my kids. I know that last doesn't matter online but trust me...its been a problem for me to find a store that doesn't view children as some sort of alien beast about to go on a yarn gobbling frenzy.

Well I didn't order the yarn by mail, but I was in Calgary this weekend and went to this store. I this store. I had such a hard time deciding what to buy and the people there were so friendly. I didn't receive the same service from a different yarn store in Calgary. I would definatly recommend this store.

Oh, you're in the Hat, I'm in Lethbridge! Ever been to any yarn stores here?

I was once. It was in a mall and I think it was a mother and daughter that owned and ran it. They were sooo nice to me. It seems to me that Medicine Hat has to be the only city that doesn't have a yarn store.

Ohhhh, must've been the one I always go to - Knitting Time. I like it! They help me out a lot. I go there for the fancy stuff and unusual needle sizes (say, 16" circulars in size 17 ), otherwise I go to Michaels for cheaper yarn and other basic things.

I can't believe the Hat doesn't have a yarn store! I think Lethbridge has 2 more besides Knitting Time and Michaels...but I like these 2 I know, so I haven't had too much of an urge to explore.

We have a Michaels and Wal-mart, but if you want anything other than acrylic I need to order online or go to Lethbridge or Calgary.

Here is another Canadian site, they mostly sell sock yarn but also Addi Turbos and bamboo needles. Their price on Austermann Step sock yarn is the best I've seen (in Canada, anyways) and they offer free shipping for orders over $50.
