FO - enterlac purse

This is a Christmas present for my sister, it was supposed to be a bag but it turned into a purse. Turns out SWS felts awfully fast... (I just read your post SabrinaJ!) At least it did make a nice sturdy fabric. It's loosely based on the booga bag pattern, just with entrelac for the body instead of stockinette stitch.

Your bag came out so nice!!

I made one last year but I did not felt it long enough. Mine is sort of "soft". I don't think I remember how to do it again. I had to take classes to "get it".

Heh, kinda takes you off guard, doesn't it? I read posts from people who've said they had to run things through a few wash cycles to get it to felt. That's kind of what I was expecting and I didn't watch it as closely as I should have (that was the first time I've felted anything).

I've discovered I like SWS much better unfelted. I think it would make a great booga bag though. I really dig that whole entrelac thing, but it looks too complicated for me.

I know what you mean SabrinaJL! This was my first real felted project and it happened way faster than I thought. Although I do love the texture of this bag, I have to agree with you, I think the SWS is nicer unfelted. Unless of course you're going for industrial-strength fabric, then this is the yarn for you!
