sock book
For all you sock knitters out there, I was wondering if you know of a book that has the different styles of heels and toes in it. Also, what is your fav. book? DH keeps bugging me to give him Christmas ideas, and I've given them all away. I thought he could get me a sock book like mentioned above and then told him he could let me go hog wild at our LYS between Dec 9-15 b/c everything will be 15% off!!! not much, but I'll take any discount I can get. Do y'all have any other ideas?

Another vot for Sensational knitted socks. It has lots of charts and patterns. Sometimes you have to think out what the directions mean, but it generally works out.

Under Watcha knitting I Just posted some socks I made following that books instructions.

I know you want book suggestions for Christmas, but have you ever checked out this site? http://mysite.verizon.net/vze8mnnp/toesheels.html

You might save the cost of the book and ask for more sock yarn (400m+ = 1 pair adult socks).

Just a thought.

another vote for Sensational Knitted Socks. Buy it and you will never need another sock book. It has plain to fancy sock patterns. Has patterns for DPNs and two circs, along with stitch patterns to change the socks. Over a hundred patterns in all.
