Knitting sleeves and stuck!!!

Please can somebody help me as im tearing my hair out!!!!
First time knitting a sweater for hubby and im stuck on the sleeves!
What does this mean? Keeping continuity of patt as set throughout, inc one st at each end of 3rd and every foll 4th row to 105 sts, working inc sts in patt!!!!!! Inc one st at each end of every foll 6th row to 109 sts, working inc sts in patt!!!!
This is patt-
1st row K3 *p1, k7, rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k3.
2nd row purl

What i dont get is this working inc sts in patt???

Please, Please help me!!!

They want your increased stitches to be knit as if they were a part of the pattern originally. Your pattern now is K3 *p1, k7, rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k3 so on your first row after the increase, you'd work k4 at the beginning and the end, then k4, k6, k7 at each edge. After you have 7 knits at each end, you'll make a purl at each end, then start again with the knits until you have all the stitches you need.
