Have Y'all Ever Done This??

I finished the first in a pair of fan lace socks. It's a tad big (around-wise, that is). I typically have to go up two needle sizes to get gauge, so I automatically did this as well...yeah, yeah, bad girl for not doing a proper gauge. But I thought that the lace pattern would make it tighter...it was the other way around, I think. Plus, this was my first "official" toe-up sock, so I didn't really know what to expect.

My first thought/hope was that maybe the sock will shrink a little, but it's a cotton blend, with the cotton part only constituting 34% (It's Regia), so it probably won't shrink.

Anyway, I'm thinking about doing the second sock in the proper needle size. If it comes out okay, I'm thinking about frogging the first sock and re-doing it.

Have y'all ever done this? What do you think?
