Measurements
I am knitting my first shirt. I am right at 35" for bust, and I think i'm longer than the length of the pattern. However, should I work it for the 35" bust or 38 1/2" bust?

You want to increase the length of the shirt? You shouldn't have to change the bust measurement to increase the length?

no, no, no...maybe I phrased my question badly. I haven't started it yet. I don't know if I should follow the directions for the 35" bust or 38" bust.

Does it say whether that measurement is the finished measurement for the garment, or whether that measurement is supposed to be your measurement? I would say if you are right at 35", then knit the 35" one if you want the garment to fit as designed.

Then I would make sure you have gauge, and go for the 35". That is if you like the way the garment looks as knitted (in pictures).
