Bernat Boa Yarn
okay, hello there, I got some Bernat Boa Yarn and i want to add a little fuzziness to some mittens that i plan to give away but it says it is not machine washable (DUN DUN DUN!) I dont want to give a gift that must be hand washed. Has anyone ever tried washing this yarn in a machine? Does it explode or something? I dont want to have to knit a swatch and see what happens if there is someone here who has already tried it. why do they make yarns that you cant wash? Patons make a Boa yarn and THAT is machine washable, why not this?

It probably falls apart or sheds a lot. You could pin a few inches of it to something and wash to see what happens.
