I am a long-time now and then user of this site finally coming on board with a question. I am working on a log cabin afghan. Some of my squares are bigger than others and I'm contemplating how to finish.
I think a border around each square could help me get the squares to match size wise with more or fewer rows of stitches around each square as needed. Another idea I had was using single-color squares inbetween the log cabin squares.
Here are some images I came up with using images of the actual knit log cabin squares and some computer created borders & single-color blocks. What do you think? Any other ideas?

Pic B - Red Border Around Each Square & Border
Pic C - Single Color Blocks & Log Cabin Squares w/Red Border
Wow..that is going to beautiful! I actually had a hard time choosing, but I went with Pic B. I do like Pic C as well though..there's something about those squares that is mesmerizing! Aren't they fun?!
When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.
I can't pick between B and C. B makes every thing pop and C some how draws you in to look at it.

I really like the one with the solids - to me - its not quite as busy - but shows the details of the multi colored squares off. They're all beautiful though - thats just my favorite! Let us know what you choose!
