Ball Winder...
I just purchased the Crystal Palace ball winder from KP...didn't really know what to look for in a ball winder, so I'm a little nervous about the end result. Has anyone else bought this product? Pro's/con's?

Hi There,

Unfortunately I know nothing about that item, but know it's frustrating to post something and have no replies. . . . . Good luck and I'm guessing others haven't used one either, so you'll have to let US know how it works once it arrives. . . .

re: ball winder
I don't have that one...mine is red and white and I don't recall right off what the brand is...but I do know one thing...that would be one of the very first things I would replace if it broke or I lost everything. I don't know how I did without one all these years of winding balls by hand...the kind that roll all over the floor and get dirty if you drop them LOL. It has been the best thing I have ever bought myself, second to my motorcycle. Hope you like yours as much as I do mine. ~Tricia

ball winder
If kp means knitpicks its the same one I have and its easy to use and works good, the only thing you sometimes have to make two balls if winding a larger size skein of yarn. Hope that helps answer your question.

Thanks all for your helpful input!! It was delivered to my house right after I left for work this morning, so I'll be able to test it out tonight on two hanks of sock yarn I ordered for my first pair of socks (at least I hope they turn out looking like socks...lol!).

I'd like to know what you think! I don't have one and am curious: Worth the money or not?
