bernat vest

I'm making a vest out of bernat alpaca blend yarn, I've finished the back & the pattern says after shaping shoulders to put remaining
stitches on stitch holder, do I cut the ball of yarn or leave it attached. It doesnt say but when you finish the right side it says do not break yarn then for the collar you pick up ramaining stitches on the back and other side. So I'm pretty sure that I can cut the Yarn from the back piece I just wanna be sure before I do. Thanks

I don't know this pattern, but.....See what the next instructions tell you to do. Usually it will tell you to reattach yarn or whatever. At any rate even if you did cut it it's easy enough to reattach it..it just means a few more ends to weave in.
