Question on Berroco "Patrice" pattern

I'm knitting the jumper from Berroco, Patrice pattern. Has anyone else made this jumper? In the section for Drawstring Eyelet Round, it states, "Change to straight needles," but after knitting in the round, how would I put this on straight needles? Do they mean double pointed needles instead?

Ater you knit the eyelet round, you knit for another inch, then change to the straights. That's where you divide for the front and back and will be going back and forth, knitting each separately. You can knit the first half on a straight needle or another circular and leave the remaining sts on the needle you've been using.
