I am a beginner knitters so I have been asking alot of question on what to make with is. What would you make??

Definitely a nice price, and enough to make some kind of garment I'd say. Have you gotten the yarn yet? Is it nice? I'm a big fan of all the alpaca I've fondled so far, but I'm sure it varies in softness and quality the same way wool does.

Are there any patterns for a cap ,hat , ? not a tam! That I could use this Alpaca for. DH would love a nice warm cap. He has no shussss..............hair.

Well, it's a fine yarn (size 2-3 needle) but there are plenty of hats in that size range. Is it all one color or is it natural? If it is a multitude of colors I would say do some lovely "Norwegiany" colorwork. Sometimes I wish Knitting Pattern Central was searchable via yarn weight or needle suggestion.
