ISO: Magic Loop sock pattern

I have a sock pattern for ankle socks but it is written for 4dpns and well I really want to learn how to do them using the Magic Loop method. So if anyone knows how I can convert the pattern or knows where a ML sock pattern could be found Please help.

Any sock pattern can be done using ML. Just split up the stitches so you have an even number on both sides. If I find it's a semi-complicated pattern, I place stitch markers where the other needles would be. For instance, I have one sock on needles doing ML...the pattern calls for needles 1 and 3 to have 28 stitches and needles 2 and 4 to have 14. So between stitches 28 and 29, I place a stitch marker, and just move it up a round each time I come to it again.

Hi Crafty_Me! If you are planning on using the Magic Loop method for socks, I highly recommend that you check out this great tutorial made by Silver for knitting 2 socks at the same time using the Magic Loop method (it's a lot easier than it sounds, trust me!).

It's loaded with pictures and clear, step-by-step instructions. I literally just finished a pair of socks for my dad using Silver's tutorial. I had never knit a single sock in my life and had never used the Magic Loop mehtod yet I easily learned with Silver's technique and tutorial. Check it out:

I read how to do ML from a book and love doing it. I have made a hat, leg warmers and an ice cream cuzie with the magic loop method.

However, when I watched the video on this site I found I was not doing it the way they showed.

I divide the stitches as if on three needles. and pull the cable from the two points and the needle out that I am working with. That way no stitches are pulled and it is the same as working with dpn.

Hope that makes sense.

I found the easiest pattern for basic socks, even the heel is simple, i could absolutely hug the person who wrote the pattern here:
1 at a time

my only problem is trying to alter any other patterns for variations. I'm too new to write my own, and this pattern is my first sock pattern...
