Temporary fix for KnitPicks Harmonies?

I recently got the harmonies....had to send back my original set because some of the tips were blunted. Well, now I'm knitting my clapotis on size 8s and there is a flaw in one needle--a rough spot that keeps snagging my malabrigo silky. I was in touch with Knit Picks and I'm awaiting a replacement. But is there some way I can use these now?

Maybe sanding with a fine sandpaper would help.

Yep, as suggested, some fine sandpaper or even an emery board and some gentle sanding should remove the rough spot.
