crochet cafe curtains

Hello all!
I would like to make some cafe curtains for my bathroom... I received the Hershners (sp?) catalog yesterday and they are selling a kit-there does not seem to be a way to choose your own color. The pattern does not seem to be available on it's own. Has anyone made these or something similar - that would share the pattern or where to purchase just the pattern?

Here's a post I did a while ago on Filet Crochet and at the end of the post I recommend a book which has a whole chapter of patterns for curtains. You might want to check it out. I have the book and can tell you that the patterns are very nice in a variety of designs and sizes.

Priscilla Hewitt has a free pattern for a window valance that looks a little like this one. It's easy to turn the valance into a curtain of any length/width. Here's her website:

I don't know which download it would be under but I'm thinking maybe home decor. You must have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file.

Thanks so much for this link... I found the curtains.. They are not quite the same.. I was looking for a more "dainty" curtain lol. I could do that pattern with crochet cotton I suppose.. Will keep it in mind. Thanks again! anne

Hi Anne, if you know basic crochet stitches and techniques, you will be able to do filet quite easily. It is mostly chain stitch and double crochet and following a chart to know where to fill in and where to leave open the mesh that makes up the design.

Let me know how you make out and if you need any help once you get going.

Hass Design has some curtain patterns. They are also filet patterns.
