I purchased Berroco
knitting booklet #259 and started knitting the pattern Napoli.
I'm working on the Left Front and I'm totally lost with the instructions.
It says:
With larger needles, CO 28 (
29, 32, 33, 36) . Work 3 rows ST st, end on RS. (I got this part...now comes the issue).
Next Row (WS): CO 2 sts, p to end -
6 (11, 16, 21, 26) sts.
(I already CO 29 so how can I purl to end - and have 11 sts.)? In this manner CO 2 sts at beg of every WS row 19 times more, then CO 3sts at beg of every WS 5 times. AT THE SAME TIME, when there are 28 (
29, 32, 33, 36) sts on needle, end on WS.
Dec Row 1 (RS): K25 (
27, 29, 31, 33), k2tog, PM, K1 (
0, 1, 0, 1). Continuing to CO sts at the beg of WS rows, dec 1 st before marker every 4th row 10 times more. When there are 26 (
29, 32, 35, 38) sts on needle after 1st marker, end on WS.
Dec Row 2 (RS): Work to 1st marker, K24 (
27, 30, 33, 36), k2tog, PM. Still continuing to CO sts at beg of WS rows if necessary and to work decs before 1st marker, dec 1st before 2nd marker every RS row 9 times more.
It seems these 3 instructions are done simultaneously however, I don't understand if I start with 29 CO sts, how am I supposed to even begin the increases in the NEXT ROW section above when it says purl to end 11.
Help!!
