Looking for a knit popcorn stitch or puff type stitch slipper pattern
Hello,

So glad I found this forum. Lots of wonderful and helpful ideas.

My mother-in-law would always knit slippers that had a popcorn stitch or puff type stitch. Does anyone have a pattern or know where I can get this pattern for these slippers?

Thank you,

Sandy

I looked at that link but could not find what I was looking for. The stitch looked like a popcorn or puff type stitch and the slipper looked just like a basic slipper...like she worked it in a square and gathered the toe and then closed part of the top and the back but was a puffy type of stitch rather than a straight stitch. She learned the pattern from her mom in Canada.

I've looked all over but can't find this stitch and I asked her, but she's older now and I don't think she remembers.

Thanks for your replies.

Are you sure it was knitted? The only popcorn stitch I know of is for crochet. In knitting it's usually called bobble I think.. I could be wrong though.

Oh, it could be a bobble stitch...I didn't knit back then and I'm know it looked sort of like a popcorn or puff type stitch. Maybe it's a bobble stitch.

Thanks,
Sandy
