Using two strands of worsted HOW MUCH?

I have a pattern that calls for 650 yards of bulky yarn. If I want to use two-strands of worsted instead, how many yards of worsted do I need to get? I don't think it's double but I know I will need more.

Two strands of worsted would probably end up thicker than bulky, it depends on your gauge. But if you do match the gauge and it isn't too tightly knit, you'd need double the yardage - 1300 yards.

I am using 2 strands of Elann Bamboo instead of the bulky yarn called for. The gauge seems to be ok using this worsted wht yarn.

I think the bamboo is a thinner worsted, so that should work out right.
