Sweater help
I have been working on an aran sweater but am stuck on my directions I've gotten to the raglan, but don't know what that is and how to continue with the pattern.

Here are my directions (in a nutshell):

Back
Cast on 120 sts.
rib for 2.75 inches
last row, increase to 146 sts thus: (rib 3, inc next st, rib 4, inc next sty) 13 times, rib 3
First row: first row of aran pattern.
Work straight in pattern as set until work measures 17 inches.

Armhole shaping:
cast off 8 sts at beg of next 2 rows

Now work Raglan shaping
1: k1, slip 1, k1, psso, pattern to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
2: k1, p1, follow sts as set to last 2 sts, p1, k1
repeat these 2 rows until 66 sts remain.

Now work Raglan on both back and from of work thus:
1: k1, slip 1, k1, psso, pattern to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
2: k1, p2tog, follow sts as set to last 3 sts. p2tgog through the back of loops, k1.
repeat these 2 rows until 46 stys remain.

Front
work as back until 82 sts remain.

I've done everything up to and including the Now work raglan shaping to 66 remaining sts.

Raglan shaping is a type of sleeve, not a stitch or a technique.
It's just making decreases that go in a diagonal line from the underarm to the neck.

So in the pattern it's just telling you where you are - follow the decrease directions as written.
