HELP - flower pattern - not clear...
This is the part of the pattern that I seem to goof up on every time...I am not sure what I am doing wrong...

K2,*K1, slip this stitch back onto left needle, lift next 9 sts on left needle over this st and off the needle, (yfwd) twice, thus making 2 stitches, then knit first stitch again, k2. Rep from * to end.

I get as far as lifting off the 9 sts but when I get to the yfwd twice I get messed up...can anyone clarify this for me??

Thanks,
Michelle

Whoa, that's convoluted... A yfwd is the same as a yo, so wrap your yarn around the needle 2 times, making 2 loops on the it.

I tried it. After you do the lift 9 is anything left out? I can't see how you could do a double yo at that point because of where the yarn is.

The yarn would be sorta under the lift 9 sts, but by twisting the needle you could still knit the same stitch.

Thank you!! See my flower :)
Thanks!! I was knitting 2 sts w/ yo instead of just wrapping the yarn twice & knitting into the first stitch. Duh...I still didn't quite get the same results that the pattern calls for (amt of sts left at the end...not sure what I did) but I finished the flower & love it!!

Thanks,
Michelle
