trying to do my first chevron pattern
Good afternoon all,

I am trying to do my first chevron pattern but am a bit confused.
here is the pattern: row 1: k, row 2 p, row 3 *K1,k1 but leave on LHN, K into st below and transfer both sts to RHN, k 4, SK2P, K4, K into st below next st, K 1 into st on LHN and transfer both sts to rhn, rep from * to end.

My problem is you knit the first stitch then do you knit into the stitch right below the one you just knit? thanks for the help.
OTN: Windowpane jacket, monkey sock,), tempting ll kal,

FO: simple cable

K2 leaving the 2nd st on the L needle, Knit into the st below it, then move them both to the right needle. This sounds like a complicated way, so unless it's part of the chevron, you can do the KRL and KLL that are shown on the increases page. They're similar.
