I wanted to make 3 scarves for my boss' kids for Christmas. Anything really cool and fun out there for free? I love the alligator scarf but I don't know if I want to spend that much for a kit. I like my boss but, not that much!

Are they boys or girls? I found a really cute scarf that I used for my granddaughter. It's called Ribs and Ruffles. I knit it with Caron Simply Soft Quick and it knit up really fast.
I think there was a KAL or something last year in which people put kids names in morse code on scarves/hats -- i remember seeing some cute ones -- especially for older boys.
I just wanted to add that if you did buy one of Morehouse's scarf kits, you'd have the yarn and pattern for one, then you'd just need to buy the yarn for the next 2 as you'd have the pattern already - thus reducing your overall cost and making it more more affordable. Having said that, I'd probably do some of the ones Jints listed - you wouldn't have to make the same scarf 3 times but could do 3 different ones.
