I also saw that hat last night!! Said to DH "Look at that hat." He said "What hat, (he just notices Melinda, I think). I'd love to find a pattern for it too. Will keep looking!!

It's in a chevron stitch pattern with double incs and decs. The incs are done as k1, yo, k1 in the same st; the decs are the raised st and done as slip 2, k1, psso. It looks like an inch of 1x1 ribbing, another inch or so in the dark color, can't tell if it's stockinette or in pattern, then about an inch of garter. Then the pattern starts. For the top decreasing, it looks like just skipping the double incs and doing the decreases, but I'm not sure.
