making fingers for fingerless glove pattern

Hi,
this may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if i could make fingers for fingerless gloves... and how?
I'm working on this pattern, http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTdashing.html

and when i knit the fingers of the gloves, i should purl, not knit...yes? please help me!

Those are cute mitts. If you want to make ones with fingers you could maybe find a pair of gloves with the same gauge and about the same number of stitches after you finish the cuffs. Begin making the Knitty ones with the neat cuffs and then switch to the other pattern for the hand after you adjust the number of stitches a little if needed. Could work. Good luck.
