I went shopping!

I want to do some mittens and a matching scarf. After much agonizing, I settled on 3 hanks of Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian highland wool) in dark lavender. I also got the pattern to make those adorable little snowmen!!!
Now I just have to decide on a pattern for the scarf. Any suggestions? I'm thinking something cabled might look nice, but I'm open to other suggestions!

I did Brooke's column of Leaves in a similar colour Cascade 220. It looks good but definitely needs blocking.

I did find this a harder pattern to feel the rhythm of the yarn overs and such for some reason. But once I got it, it flew off the needles.

Oh, I saw those cute little snowmen advertised in the Interweave Knits magazine (holiday issue I think). I have been contemplating purchasing the kit myself, please post your results when you make your snowmen.
