Hi Lady M! Well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
I, too, kinda slipped up today. I went to our South Sound Knitter's Guild monthly meeting...wherein our 2008 President whose yarn shop went out-of-business in November brought all her leftover yarn inventory and had a huge sale!
Well, I had earned Rewards yarn...but I kinda over-Rewarded myself, I think. Here is the damage:
1) 7 skeins of bright lemon yellow Cascade 220
2) 4 skeins of bright turquoise blue Cascade 220
3) 4 skeins of a handpainted DK yarn (wine, black, greys)
4) 1 smallish skein for a little girl's BOOGA BAG ( just for the for the strap handles cuz I ran out of NORO so it doesn't count against me! )

The yarns are all designated for projects within the month. The eleven Cascade 220 are for the dozen Sister Sweaters I am doing.
The handpainted DK is for an interesting scarf for me to wear with my black-white herringbone winter coat.

Hi DrKnitter! You are on your way!

Hey, ArtLady, you deserve that reward, you've been knittin' like crazy this past few months!
Here's my stash project: my dog's pillow. made with odds and ends from my acrylic stash, knit on 4.00mm Options. The dog is not so small, she's 50 pounds, it's the picture . The pillow is 30"x30". I installed the zipper myself! And I used stash yarn. My next projects are stash projects too and one that a co-worker ordered, so she bought the yarn.

Hey there KnittingNat! That was a cool idea...a pillow bed for your dog! I am inspired!

I finished another Stash Project! I have used 15 out of 30 of that Rowan All Seasons Cotton that I over-bought! Details about it and additional photos are in Whatcha Knitting, but here is a photo for y'all anyway!

Stash
I just started knitting, but I am in love already. I have a goal to get a stash! MY DH thought I was crazy because I spent over an hour in the yarn isles (just looking).

Great pillow, KnittingNat!
Welcome, Kimmypooh! It's exciting to build up a stash....but then in no time you'll be in the same boat as the rest of us....
too much yarn, not enough time!

Welcome Kimmypooh! Knitting is addicting, that's for sure! The important thing is that your DH won't go crazy about the yarn prices

ArtLady, that sweater is beautiful!

I finished a stash project last week, actually 2. I forgot to take a picture of the 2nd - a little gnome. I used the entirety of a mini Peace Fleece skein and a tad bit of WOA for the face. I have to count that mini skein as actual stash busting since I definitely over rewarded myself.

Here are the convertible mittens I made for my dh. The pinkies are pinching where I picked up the stitches for the flap. No big deal once he puts them on, but, that's why they look as they do. This was a little less than 1 skein of Peace Fleece in Baku Black. It was really nice to knit with; much softer than my first experience with it.

And my reward? 10.2 oz of Dashing Dachs goldfish colorway on Beaverslide 100 % Delaine Merino 'Beargrass' lambswool and 12 oz of aran BFL.

ETA: And OTN I have a pair of longies for dd on handdyed BFL (and enough stash yarn for several more pair). I'm going to be starting Swell, I think, for dh to be done in my other skein of Baku Black, maybe with Antarctica White for the color work. It's supposed to be 10 degrees this weekend, so I better get cracking!

How do you count yds out?
OK, I've been knitting and using stash but I've got a dilemma. I have my stuff in Rav but say I use a partial skein so I still have a partial skein left. It takes it off my stash but still leaves some. There is no record I used any and I will never remember I used 2 oz of the 5 I had. Anyone have any ideas??
TIA
