Thanks for posting the link to my charities page. There are a lot of charities in Ontario there! I'd like to post some from other provinces, but don't know of any.

Just to let people on here know that I have free patterns for just about everything on my site, Bev's Country Cottage, and you are welcome to use them for that purpose.

HUGS!!!

HAP - Handmade Afghan Project - 6 x 9 inch rectangles needed
I would like to add this program to the list:

The Handmade Afghan Project (HAP) is a program that collects 6 inch x 9 inch rectangles. They get togethor every 2-3 months for a "Put togethor Party" where they sew 49 of them togethor to make 1 blanket. Then they hand them out to Military Hospitals in the U.S. and Afghanistan.

The website is found at http://www.rectangle6x9.org/

You can email Deborah and let her know your interested. She will sign you up with their listserve and you will get emails with updates. They also have a forum that will be available to you.

Their next put togethor party is July 13, 2008

It's a great program to be a part of. They have delivered over 1,000 afghans to date.

Heather

I haven't read through all of the posts, but I just ran across this and it looks like a very worthy cause.

I agree that AC4C is a great group. I have never known so many generous and caring people.
