No, no pattern for the cami-tank.
I knit the cable panel by itself...the cable that runs up the fronts...for about the inches that would fit around the top of my bust...and then seamed it. Then, I picked up stitches along the edge, and knit in the round 'downwards' til it was about the right length...then changed to a smaller needle for the 3" ribbing, and then cast off.
Alert: I knit and re-knit this thing several times. The first attempt at the cabled band...it was waaaaay too big...had to frog back a lot of inches.
The second attempt, I picked up way too many stitches...so the st st was puckered.
The third attempt, I ended the bottom wrong. I ended with 2 inches of garter stitch. It looked horrid, and it was rippley.
The 4th attempt, I ended the top TOO SHORT. Had to undo the cast off and knit over, and more inches.
The 5th attempt, I decided to do ribbing...but I increased a lot for the ribbing so that it would curve out over my hips. That design idea took several attempts. How many should I increase? Where should I do the increases?
Anyway, I never worked so long and so hard at such a simple looking tank top!
But, I really really really needed something to wear under this cardigan. I mean, a white blouse? Ack.
I was motivated to keep at it!
